This morning, enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Tallinn, taking in the city’s most famous attractions and historic landmarks. Discover the beautifully preserved Old Town, medieval fortifications, elegant churches and picturesque squares that have earned Tallinn its reputation as one of Northern Europe’s most enchanting capitals.

Later, board a ferry for the scenic crossing of the Gulf of Finland to Helsinki.

Arriving in Finland’s vibrant capital, make your way to your centrally located hotel and check in. This evening, join your Tour Manager and fellow travellers for a welcome dinner, providing the perfect opportunity to get acquainted before the journey ahead.

Should time permit before dinner, consider exploring the surrounding area on foot. Nearby parks, waterfront promenades and elegant city streets offer an excellent introduction to Helsinki’s relaxed Nordic lifestyle.

After breakfast, set out on a guided city tour of Helsinki. Travelling through the city’s elegant boulevards and waterfront districts, you’ll gain an insight into Finnish culture, history and contemporary life.

Among the highlights is the impressive Sibelius Monument, dedicated to Finland’s most celebrated composer. Subject to opening hours, you’ll also visit the remarkable Temppeliaukio Rock Church, carved directly into solid granite and admired for its unique design, natural stone interior and copper-domed ceiling.

The remainder of the day is free for independent exploration. Visit local cafés, browse boutique shops or simply enjoy the atmosphere of this stylish Scandinavian capital.

oday marks the beginning of your Arctic adventure. Following breakfast, walk to Helsinki’s railway station and board a long-distance train bound for Rovaniemi, the capital of Finnish Lapland.

As the train travels north, watch the scenery gradually transform into vast forests, lakes and wilderness landscapes. Upon arrival in the late afternoon, transfer to your hotel and enjoy an evening at leisure.

Take time to explore Rovaniemi, situated on the Arctic Circle and famous as the official hometown of Santa Claus. For those seeking a special experience, an optional Midnight Sun dinner is available during the summer months, offering spectacular views over the surrounding Lapland landscape.

Begin the day with a visit to a traditional family-owned reindeer farm, where you’ll learn about the centuries-old practice of reindeer herding and its importance to life in the Arctic. Meet and feed the animals while gaining a fascinating insight into local culture and traditions.

After free time for lunch, enjoy a uniquely Finnish experience as you float in a peaceful freshwater lake wearing a specialised thermal rescue suit. Surrounded by pristine nature and tranquil scenery, it’s a wonderfully relaxing way to immerse yourself in the beauty of Lapland.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before departing Rovaniemi and travelling deeper into Finland’s Arctic north. Along the way, stop at the famous Santa Claus Village, situated directly on the Arctic Circle, where you’ll have time to explore and perhaps send a postcard from one of the world’s most unusual post offices.

Continuing north, visit the historic wooden church at Sodankylä, one of Finland’s oldest and most treasured ecclesiastical buildings. After a lunch break, the journey continues through spectacular Lapland landscapes towards Saariselkä.

Upon arrival, check into the unique Midnight Sun Village, where you’ll spend the next two nights in a cosy glass-roof cabin. Surrounded by pristine wilderness and bathed in the glow of the Arctic summer, this is an unforgettable setting in which to experience the phenomenon of the Midnight Sun. Depending on the season, there may even be opportunities to sample wild berries growing along the route.

Later, experience the magical atmosphere of the Midnight Sun during an evening photography excursion. Travel to the shores of Lake Inari and a remote wilderness camp, where the soft golden light creates extraordinary opportunities for photography and quiet reflection in one of Europe’s most untouched landscapes.

Today marks your final day in Finland before crossing into Norway. Depart Saariselkä and travel to the village of Inari, regarded as the cultural heart of Finland’s Sámi population.

Visit the renowned SIIDA Museum, where engaging exhibits explore the traditions, history and contemporary life of the indigenous Sámi people. Following your visit, enjoy lunch featuring local flavours and regional specialties.

This afternoon, continue through dramatic Arctic scenery and cross the border into Norway, arriving in the coastal town of Kirkenes. Situated close to both Russia and Finland, Kirkenes occupies a fascinating location at the northeastern edge of Europe. Dinner is included at your hotel this evening.

Wake to magnificent Arctic scenery as your voyage along Norway’s rugged northern coast begins. Overnight stops include remote settlements such as Mehamn and Kjøllefjord before reaching Honningsvåg and Havøysund in the morning.

In the afternoon, arrive in Hammerfest, often recognised as one of the world’s northernmost towns. Explore the waterfront, visit local attractions or simply enjoy the unique atmosphere of this remote Arctic community.

As the journey continues southward, admire dramatic fjords, fishing villages and mountain landscapes. Approaching Tromsø late in the evening, enjoy views of the spectacular Lyngen Alps before arriving in the vibrant Arctic city beneath the glow of the Midnight Sun.

Today’s voyage showcases some of Norway’s most breathtaking coastal scenery. Sail through the archipelagos of Vesterålen and Lofoten, where dramatic mountains rise directly from the sea.

Ports of call include Harstad, Sortland and Stokmarknes, home to the Hurtigruten Museum and the preserved vessel MS Finnmarken. Along the route, your captain may navigate into the narrow Trollfjord, a spectacular fjord flanked by towering cliffs and known for its resident sea eagles.

By evening, arrive in Svolvær, the principal town of the Lofoten Islands, before continuing past the impressive mountain wall that has made this region famous worldwide.

Today offers another memorable milestone as the ship crosses the Arctic Circle while continuing south along Norway’s stunning coastline.

Pass through charming coastal communities including Bodø, Ørnes and Nesna before reaching the beautiful Helgeland Coast. Along the way, admire the distinctive peaks of the Seven Sisters mountain range and the legendary Torghatten mountain, famous for the large hole that pierces its centre.

The day concludes with visits to Brønnøysund and the picturesque archipelago surrounding Rørvik, where traditional fishing communities continue to thrive.

Arrive in the historic city of Trondheim, once Norway’s Viking capital. Here you can explore the magnificent Nidaros Cathedral, one of Scandinavia’s most important religious landmarks, and stroll through the charming streets of the Bakklandet district.

Cross the iconic Old Town Bridge and enjoy views over the River Nid before continuing your voyage to Kristiansund, renowned for its long association with the production of salted and dried cod.

Later, arrive in Molde, beautifully positioned between fjords and mountains. Known as the “City of Roses,” Molde offers spectacular views of the surrounding Romsdal Alps and is considered one of Norway’s most attractive coastal cities.

Your final day at sea begins amid some of Norway’s most spectacular scenery. Admire views of Nordfjord and the immense Jostedal Glacier, the largest glacier on mainland Europe.

After a brief stop in Florø, continue south past islands, fjords and lighthouses before arriving in Bergen, often described as the gateway to Norway’s fjord region.

Upon arrival, enjoy a guided city tour showcasing many of Bergen’s historic highlights, including the colourful Bryggen Wharf, the bustling fish market and medieval landmarks such as St. Mary’s Church and Håkon’s Hall.

The remainder of the evening is yours to enjoy. Consider taking the funicular to Mount Fløyen for panoramic views over the city and surrounding waterways.

This morning is at leisure, providing an opportunity for further exploration of Bergen before your flight to Iceland.
