With volcanos and glaciers, it’s easy to see why Iceland is called ‘The Land of Fire and Ice’. It’s a small island, Europe’s westernmost country with 11% of it’s land mass covered in ice. Landscapes can be stark and striking, desolate and spectacular – all of which makes it such an unusual destination.
