Full day of fun and magic in Legoland Amusement Park.
After two days filled with fun, a local bus and train will take you from Billund to Odense, Hans Christian Andersen’s home town. Although a prolific writer of plays, travelogues, novels and poems, Andersen is best remembered for his fairy tales, among them the Little Mermaid. Odense itself has charming high streets with cozy cafes and restaurants, lots of museums and activities to offer. You can even go for a swim at the newly created city beach.
After a good breakfast, you will be heading to Copenhagen, the vibrant and colourful Danish capital. The 2-hour train ride takes you across the Great Belt to Zealand, past green pastures and small towns. Copenhagen is the most European city in Scandinavia where one thousand years of history await you in the medieval streets; the same streets walked on by every generation of the world’s oldest royal family, the same streets and canals which have inspired artists for centuries. The city offers many attractions such as Tivoli, which you will visit tomorrow, the statue of the Little Mermaid, the Gefion Fountain, the Royal Palace Amalienborg and more.
Time to discover the thrilling, old fashioned and picturesque Tivoli Gardens amusement park, which was founded in 1843, and soon became a national treasure and an international attraction. Tivoli Gardens’ secret is that there is something for everyone. Some rides are wonderfully nostalgic. Others will match the expectations of the keenest thrill seekers. At night, thousands of coloured lights create a fairy tale atmosphere that is completely unique. Apart from the rides, Tivoli plays host to many of the city’s great restaurants. (one-day entrance included)
