From the majestic fjords of Norway to the medieval Old Towns of the Baltic capitals, our partially guided itineraries let you experience multiple countries and cultures in one seamless journey. You might find yourself on a scenic train ride through the mountains, exploring quirky Baltic streets, or cruising past breathtaking landscapes; all with the reassurance that the essential logistics are taken care of for you.
Itineraries are created for travellers who enjoy the structure of guided sightseeing while still valuing the freedom to explore independently. You might start your journey with an escort through vibrant capitals and dramatic fjords, as in the Scandinavia & Baltic Delights tour, before continuing at your own pace across neighbouring regions. In some cases, your days will be filled with festive activities in Lapland, much like the Hello Santa experience, while in others, you’ll escape to tranquil countryside settings perfect for viewing the Northern Lights, as featured in Iceland Winter Lights. Each tour strikes a balance between support and flexibility, giving you a richer, more personal travel experience.
Our partially guided journeys make it easy to explore the highlights of Scandinavia and the Baltic region with the perfect balance of support and independence. In Finland, you’ll find yourself immersed in the magic of Finnish Lapland, where visits to Santa Claus Village and the chance to meet Santa Claus bring festive traditions to life. Travelling further through Northern Finland, you can enjoy snowy landscapes, reindeer safaris, and evenings under the glow of the Northern Lights.
Beyond Lapland, our tours connect you with the rich cultures of Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Estonia. Whether it’s strolling through medieval Old Towns, cruising the Baltic Sea, or enjoying guided city tours before continuing on your own, these itineraries showcase the best of Scandinavian tours while giving you time to explore at your own pace.
Whether you’re making the most of long summer days or seeking the Northern Lights in winter, our partially guided tours are designed to capture the magic of each season. Families can spend Christmas in Lapland, where reindeer rides, husky safaris, and visits to Santa create unforgettable memories in a true winter wonderland. In other cases, you might find yourself gliding along scenic railways and cruising through dramatic fjords, as featured in Scandinavia & Baltic Delights. Or, for a peaceful winter retreat, Iceland Winter Lights combines the charm of Reykjavik with countryside stays perfect for spotting the Northern Lights beneath a dazzling night sky. Each itinerary balances guided highlights with free time, giving you the best of both worlds.
Partially guided tours are ideal for travellers who value both flexibility and support. You’ll enjoy the insight of professional tour escorts and guided sightseeing during key parts of the journey, before transitioning into independent travel with all the essentials pre-arranged; from comfortable accommodation and scenic transport to curated cultural highlights.

Have already recommended across my network.Posted on Adelle FernandezTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My husband and I went on the Christmas fantasy tour visiting Denmark, Estonia, Stockholm and Finland . Everyone at Pure scandinavia did an amazing job, everything was thought off, had all the activities planned and gave us plenty amazing memories . Their local knowledge and expertise especially having lived in Finnish Lapland in the past made everything that much easier and more authentic. They went out of their way to help where they could and made it feel not like travelling with a group tour but more like a trip with a bunch of friends. We highly recommend Pure Scandinavia for your next holidays. Thank you Barbara, Elaine , Claudia and Simo for our first ever white Christmas xxPosted on U STrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Took all the stress out of planning and we were able to enjoy a "once in a lifetime" holiday that was made very special!Posted on Garry ElsdonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What a wonderful experience, totally exceeded our expectations. Our cabin was well equipped, spacious including sauna. The quality of food on offer was excellent and varied. All activities were exceptional and well organised. All the staff involved from reception, restaurant and those running the activities were very friendly and supportive to any special request. Our intentions was to experience the cold and wilderness. We certainly got and the bonus of some nights with extraordinary northern lights display. Highly recommended.Posted on Silke BaderTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Pure Scandinavia organised an unforgettable Arctic holiday for us. The itinerary was seamless, communication was excellent, and having everything so well planned made travelling through remote areas incredibly easy. Arctic Bath was the absolute highlight, beautiful cabins, amazing food, and the best husky tour we’ve ever done. Even when some parts of the trip were less perfect, the overall experience was fantastic, and we came home with memories we’ll treasure. We’re already planning a summer trip to Norway in 2027 and will happily book with Pure Scandinavia again. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a unique and well‑organised Scandinavian adventure.Posted on Michelle CollettTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our trip was a very unique experience, so well planned and organised. We enjoyed a very balanced itinerary with first class experiences that is, Lapland. There was time to enjoy and relax in our wonderful accommodation. A special “call out” to our host/ guide Bab’s (Barbara). We felt so at home the moment we met her. Barbara kept us “on task” to ensure we continued to have the best Arctic adventure and amazing White Christmas. We would recommend that you contact Claudia at PureScandinavia as she will arrange a holiday of a lifetime for you and your loved ones.Posted on Dani WTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We recently returned from our Lapland Fantasy Christmas Tour with Claudia. She went above and beyond to create such a magical experience for our whole family. I highly recommend Pure Scandinavia. Thank you Claudia for making our bucket list trip one to remember forever.Posted on Rosie McArdleTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Pure Scandinavia organised a fabulous trip for our group of 6. The brief I gave Claudia was pretty loose- arctic circle, train trips, a cruise, apartments, we only have 14 days and we are working to a budget- she did the rest! She pulled together a terrific itinerary, was comfortable making changes and thinking laterally to accommodate our wish list and constraints, didn’t get grumpy with me when I changed my mind on things and her attention to detail was brilliant. She chose great accommodation options, close to stations etc to minimise uber costs etc without being asked… I can’t recommend Pure Scandinavia more highly. I have asked her to branch out to other geographies so I can use her for my next trip somewhere in Europe…
