Arrive Rovaniemi and transfer to your magical escape at the Vaattunki Wilderness Resort. This will be your home for the next two nights, in a Panorama Design Hut, surrounded by lush forests and the beautiful Raudanjoki river.
The resort is located in a beautiful wilderness area, just a 12-minute drive from Santa Claus Village and 20 minutes from the city centre.
Tonight, you’ll meet your fellow travelers and tour leader for a welcome dinner.
After breakfast this morning, transfer to Santa Village for free time to explore and meet Santa. There’s a lot on offer at Santa Village so this will be a busy morning.
Return after lunch to the Vaattunki Wilderness Resort where the afternoon is yours to to relax and enjoy your pristine surroundings.
After dinner, set off on your electric snowmobile tour for a three-hour, experience the quiet beauty of the Arctic.
Depart after breakfast for the famous Ice Hotel in Sweden, a five-hour comfortable coach journey. A stop will be made to purchase food and drinks.
Accommodation at the Ice Hotel will be in a warm Arctic Chalet. If you’re feeling adventurous, upgrade to sleeping in a room made of ice (supplement applies).
Ready to meet the huskies? After breakfast transfer to the husky farm for a 4 hour dog sledding tour with wilderness lunch. Driven by an experienced musher, the tour takes you through the peaceful nature of a Lapland winter.
Transfer after breakfast for the station for your train to Narvik, Norway. The three-and-a-half-hour scenic train ride takes you through dramatic landscapes, crossing from Sweden into Norway.
Upon arrival in Narvik, you’ll have a chance to have a bite to eat before boarding a coach for the “Arctic route” to Tromsø. Arrive Tromsø mid-evening and check in to the Clarion Hotel Aurora or *Scandic Grand. Dinner at Clarion Hotel will be a light buffet at Clarion. *January departure accommodated at Scandic Grand where dinner is not included.
Day at leisure to Tromsø on your own or join optional Arctic Fjord or whale watching cruise (supplementary charge).
Later this evening, join a thrilling chase for the Northern Lights by coach. The search for the Lights moves around and at times may even take you back across the border to Finland. Thermal suits are provided to wear over your clothes for extra warmth. Depending on Nature, you final night could bring the most spectacular display of “Lady Aurora” dancing across the night sky.
Check out and transfer to Tromsø airport.
