Get a taste of “Swedish cool” on this short stopover in Stockholm. This self-guided break includes a sightseeing tour of the city’s top landmarks and entrance to the Icebar, without a doubt one of the capital’s ‘coolest’ bars. The rest of your time is free to explore the Old Town, trendy shopping neighbourhoods, museums and other attractions.

Itinerary

Day 1Welcome to Sweden's Capital

Arrive Stockholm city hotel. Transfer to your hotel is not included but can be quoted on request.

Day 2Stockholm Sightseeing and Free Time

The city of Stockholm, built on 14 islands and connected by 57 bridges, exudes a unique charm, combining 13th century and modern high-tech architecture. To the east, the city is bordered by the Baltic Sea with the archipelago of 30,000 islands. This is the hub of the Baltic area with easy access to the Nordic capitals as well as the Baltic countries.

This is a large city but with a small town feel, easy to get around even on foot. This morning you will get to know the city on a guided walking tour taking in the Old Town as other interesting sights.

Day 3Chill out at the Ice Bar

Today you have a whole day to explore on your own. For a closer look at Swedish culture from different eras, you may wish to check out the Vasa museum with its 17th century warship, the Skansen open air museum or — for music fans — the ABBA museum. Later in the evening you will get to experience Stockholm’s coolest bar – ABSOLUTE ICEBAR STOCKHOLM. Here in the world’s first permanent ice bar the temperature is -5°C all year round and the entire interior, including the glasses, is made of ice. Afterwards, warm up at the city’s other cafes, restaurants and nightclubs.

Day 4Departure

Use your last bit of free time in Stockholm to do some last minute souvenir shopping, visit one more museum or just enjoy a “fika” (Swedish coffee break) at a local café before heading home from your wonderful city break. Transfer to Arlanda Airport for your departure flight is provided by private taxi.
